Why? Having a fully effective sales team is vital to the growth and profitability of any business.
We have found that objectively benchmarking their sales skills before embarking on any development significantly increases return on investment. We work with you first to agree the best approach for your size of business and budget and then align the sales competency model to the type of selling skills that your people should be demonstrating e.g. Solution sales vs. Transactional.
How it works: Typically, we set up sales simulations using professional role players and observe them against the agreed competency model with up to 100 objective behavioural indicators. We then give 121 coaching and feedback to the individuals and agree a personal development plan which helps the sales person to understand their strengths and development areas.
This increased self awareness and the objectivity of the exercise motivates the individuals to improve their performance immediately in some areas and allows the organisation to determine broader skill gaps to be addressed through training.
